Cat Training – How to train the cat to use the Toilet

It’s easy to train your cat to use the toilet:

Cats are trained to obey their masters in many ways and one such training is making the cats to use the toilets instead of messing up the surroundings.

Training the cats to use the toilets is tough during the beginning phase but once when the cat gets used to it, the master’s money and time is saved. Whenever the cat uses the toilet, it should be cleaned immediately to avoid unpleasant smell. The items required to train the cat to use the toilets are aluminum foil, plastic tray and a litter with flush which is specially designed for kittens.

If people feel uncomfortable in cleaning the litter box of the kitten, another idea comes to play. If the master has two toilets in his house, then he can dedicate one for his kitten. But if the toilet is only one, he needs to share it with his cat. So houses with two toilets are more preferable.

An aluminum tray is placed inside the toilet for the cat to use and it should be removed whenever required. The lid should be always kept open during the training period else the cat will make the bathroom floor nasty. Visitors and guests should be indicated so that they do not close the lid after they use it. After few weeks holes should be created on the tray so that the litter passes away. The hole should start with half diameter because if the cat identifies that there is no litter in the tray it will mess the floor again. The hole should be increased slowly so that the cat does not identify it.

Two or more trays should be used depending upon the weight of the cat. Training should be started only when the cat is six months old because the cat will not be able to stand upon tray when it is too young.
